Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving with Jonathan, MaryAnn, Sarah, and Thomas this year. We forgot our camera (doh!) so there aren't any pictures. :(
I made pumpkin cheesecake for my second time, it turned out wonderfully! A friend of Jonathan and MaryAnn's liked it so much that she decided to make it a staple for her future Thanksgivings, you can't get a better review than that! :)
Keira and Thomas had so much fun playing together, chasing each other around the house pretending to be ghosts LOL! I am loving this age and loving to watch Keira use her imagination and play with Thomas so well.
MaryAnn and Sarah also watched Keira for Jon and I this weekend while Jon and I did her birthday and Christmas shopping. It was fun for us to get out, and fun for Keira to be able to play with Thomas all day long. Jon and I got some really good deals and are very excited to watch her open her gifts! We love you all and hope that your Thanksgiving was good and full of memories!

The Civil War Museum at Tredegar

The US parks system has a Civil War Museum at Tredegar. Tredegar was the main iron mill used to made guns, cannons and railway ties for the Confederate Armies. It was one of the many buildings burned by the Confederate Army when they retreated and gave up Richmond. Below are some of the Ruins of the bulding as well as an original hole press used to make holes in railway ties.

This is a restored building from the mill now used as one of the 2 museums on the property.

A 12 pound Mountain Howitzer made in 1962 here at Tredegar.
